4 HAIR DO'S AND DON'TS BEFORE YOUR WEDDING DAY

I have been a wedding hairstylist for 6 years and I LOVE weddings. I have prepared below 8 tricks to read over before your big day!

DO
💍 Have a trial/consult AT LEAST 8-12 weeks before the day. Most brides I work with do book in as soon as they have a date set and then have their hair done for their engagement or hens party🥳
💍 Wear a button up top the day of your wedding and at your trial! Bringing a t shirt over your head after your hair/makeup is done will ruin your artists work! *bonus tip don't wear a bra that day... trust me! you will have lines and you will look back on photos and wish you listened 😫
💍 Make sure the stylist you use has a portfolio of wedding hair! Your usual hairdresser may not be the stylist for your wedding day😬
💍 GET YOUR HAIR HEALTHY! Healthy hair looks better when it is photographed and you will be SO HAPPY you spent the time and money investing in your healthy hair ✨

DO NOT
🙅🏽‍♀️ Never wear your curls intact! Brush them out... trust me the 80's are out and you do NOT want poodle curls on your wedding day
🙅🏽‍♀️ Flat iron your hair before a trial or on your wedding day! Flat irons seal the cuticle and then you cannot form a curl until your wash it and blow it out.
🙅🏽‍♀️ NEVER leave your hair unwashed!!!!!!! My biggest pet peeve... DIRTY HAIR DOES NOT HOLD A CURL BETTER. I tell clients to wash it BEFORE I get to the venue because I work better on a clean canvas! If you do rock up with dirty hair I will make you go and wash it.
🙅🏽‍♀️ Wear your hair up or down if you don't usually wear it up or down. Be yourself! If you wear it up all the time you will probably want it up for your wedding👱🏼‍♀️
